Shadowsparring with the Class

Shadowsparring is a great solo workout when you can’t make it to class or when you want to have a sparring session where you can work on pushing your speed without interference from a partner. But it can also be practiced in a class setting, so you can use other students to liven up your training while still sparring alone.

Though I’ve added my own modifications, I got the idea for the following drills from an article by Manuel Siverio called “Shadow Sparring” in the October 1986 issue of Blackbelt magazine.
